Criticism
- Is this a scam? From a Gacha F2P to a paid game, I thought I was going to play the full game. But there is a season pass that cost the same price as the game, making it way too expensive for what it is. When I pre-ordered it, there was no info about a DLC or whatsoever. Those devs are clearly not here to propose you a nice experience, they are just here to steal your money.
Mixed
- Its a mobile gacha game turned into a console game and it is bad. Visually bad to look at and everything else is boring. One good thing is the music and that its. They should have left this game for dead.

Praise
- Truthfully, if games like Octopath Traveler 0 and the upcoming Final Fantasy Resonance, both of which adapt their respective gacha games’ stories into an amazing experience, didn’t show us what is possible, then perhaps a game like Another Eden: Begins would make sense. But as it stands, the title has only one good thing going for it, and that is the fact that players can enjoy its story and characters without feeling they must spend copious amounts of money just to finish playing through its tale, even after the gacha game closes its doors. And that is something you can’t take for granted these days.
- Another Eden Begins does well enough at making for an experience that will keep players engaged for its runtime, but not really enough to stand out from the crowd. Combat is enjoyable and the base gameplay loop moves things along to prevent things from becoming too tired, though its side quests can drag things a bit. However, despite the promise of additional narrative elements in the New Game+, what’s currently there isn’t really enough to entice diving back into it right away. It’s ultimately a solid RPG with lots of scope for improvement.
- Another Eden Begins may look like another time-travelling JRPG, but there’s plenty of uniqueness to help the game stand out. It’s never been easier to balance a large cast of characters, and the story draws you in. There are definitely areas for improvement, but it’s minor in the grand scheme of things. Anyone who enjoys playing JRPGs will feel right at home here, and it’s even better if you love cats as well.
Criticism
- Is Another Eden Begins worth playing? Absolutely. It’s just important to know what you’re getting into. Weak character development for some secondary characters, a map system that leaves a lot to be desired, and what ultimately feels like an incomplete battle system leave one wanting for something a bit more traditional. Another Eden Begins is a console version of a mobile game, and ultimately, it shows that in some very off-putting ways.
