- Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition remake is a fun time, and Capcom did an amazing job bringing Resident Evil 2 into the modern gaming arena. I don’t remember all the story moments from the 1998 release, and I do feel that the big story moments take longer to get to in the remake adding on to an already great game. The original Resident Evil 2 was amazing, and Capcom improved on the game in pretty much every way. If you are a fan of survival horror, and are a Nintendo Switch 2 owner, do not pass this game up.
- Overall, Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition is a fantastic trip down memory lane for fans and a wonderfully terrifying experience for newcomers. This is the second entry in the long-running, classic horror series, bringing us right back to the early days of the Raccoon City outbreak. This remastered version, now available properly on a Nintendo system for the first time, brings us back to Leon and Claire’s origins. It’s creepy, tense, and a must-play for anyone remotely interested in horror titles.
- Resident Evil 2 finally arrives on Nintendo platforms in the best possible way, with an impeccable native port that does justice to one of the greatest survival horror games of all time, even after completely reworking the original formula. Capcom once again proves its mastery of delivering rock-solid performance and impressive visuals without compromise. With tense gameplay, engaging resource management, and plenty of challenges to keep you hooked, this version is an absolute must-have for Nintendo's hybrid console library.
