  • Amazing survival game, one of the best in the genres. If you're wondering why this game is currently at a 7.4 on Metacritic, you should read some of the review comments... absolutely ridiculous, one person just said he does not like the graphics and gave it a 1. If you like survival games, this is one of the best. you should buy it.
  • The best hardcore survival game out there. I **** love wasting 4 hours sailing to the swamps to ship back my iron ores and can't fast travel. But honestly add an easy mode where I can travel with ores please.
  • Took 5 years for 1.0 but it's still the same enjoyable experience as it was when it released.

Criticism

  • Hate the art style and interface. A lot of people love it but it fails on the basic points of drawing me in. So it's a hard pass for me. I regret buying it.
  • Starting with the Mistlands, the game becomes simply unbearably difficult and tedious.
  • Media hora para talar un árbol, para colocar un par de tablones... No es mal juego con mods, pero sin ellos, pide demasiada paciencia al jugador.

  • Valheim's legacy was set in stone long before v1.0 was out. It's an instant classic, much like Hades or Stardew Valley are in different genres and environments. It's one of those games you find on Steam for an affordable price, it runs smoothly on your hardly competent PC and looks beautiful on it, and then sucks you in with its godly coziness and captivating sandbox and mechanics. We love it for its 'tactile' world with deep care for detail and uniqueness and romantic sense of adventure, but even if you don't connect with it at such a personal level you'll still find it more than worth the investment in the long run. • Valheim 1.0 remains a standout title—a pivotal work that restored prestige to the survival genre thanks to its inspired art direction and uncompromising philosophy. Unfortunately, for one reason or another, the studio has not delivered everything expected of it in recent years. Lacking the quality-of-life features that have become standard and suffering from somewhat uneven polish, Valheim now appeals primarily to genre purists or those with enough friends to smooth over its roughest edges. It is certainly a good game, but it missed the chance to become the monumental masterpiece some had hoped for.
  • Given the numbers version 1.0 is posting, it wouldn't surprise me to see the project keep growing—but in what direction? It certainly can't abandon its distinctive art style—so simple yet so effective—which is an integral part of the game's unique atmosphere. But there is still time for the future; let's allow everyone who was waiting for the end of Early Access to finally enjoy Valheim in peace.

Criticism

  • Valheim is a technological masterpiece, despite its graphics. Initially frustrating, the game's procedural generation system and unique progression mechanics truly shine. It avoids typical procedural pitfalls, offering a sense of direction without repetition and encouraging exploration of both new and old biomes. Despite a small development team, Valheim delivers a rich, individualized experience where players constantly return to earlier areas for resources and new discoveries, making advancement about world exploration rather than just increasing difficulty.
