Praise
- The gameplay has really improved. Defense feels great, the grounds are a lot of fun, there are plenty of other modes like manager career, some I haven't even touched, though I think there are issues where the defender always wins the ball when there is a collision instead of a tackle. 86/100.
- i have played this game for over 8 years, after 37 hours of this bs I realized this is the worst fifa game I have ever played, and one of the worst games i have played in general, the gameplay is horrible, while they made short passing better, they made it extremly unbalanced when opposition players intercept almost every ball, which just makes the game heavily script-based. it feels like if you are winning a game, it because the game helps you, easier passes, your players can defend easier, and most of your shots go in, but when you are losing it feels the same just the opposite, it feels impossible to defend or attack in a lot of cases. from the first 10 minutes of the game you can tell whether you'll win or not, winning isn't even enjoyable when the gameplay is not rewarding at all and you can't win based on skill. If you are considering to buy this game, don't. its worse than fc 26, which was also horrible. EA doesn't care about the players, they only care about the money. they fix 2-3 problems every year
- Another year, another disappointment. It’s literally the exact same game, but somehow with worse graphics. Sure, defending feels a bit better, but the attacking system is completely broken. If you abuse the same 3 meta moves, you score every single time and there's nothing your opponent can do about it. But the second you try to play actual creative football just to have fun? Nothing works. The game literally punishes you for trying to enjoy it. Absolute garbage
Criticism
- Critical Gameplay Delay, Unstable Input Responsiveness, and Unplayable Match Quality in EA SPORTS FC 27 (PS5 Pro)English TranslationWhat exactly did I pay approximately $100 for when purchasing EA SPORTS FC 27?I am playing on a PS5 Pro via a wired LAN connection with a ping of around 8–10 ms. Over the past two weeks, only about TWO out of TEN matches run normally. In the remaining eight, the input lag is so severe that playing and enjoying the game is virtually impossible.Passing is executed with a noticeable delay of about half a second, sometimes a full second. Player switching is delayed. Players react sluggishly to commands, receive the ball, turn, and initiate movement. They join attacks and track back on defense with a delay. As a result, I cannot execute even simple actions in a timely manner, and the match outcome depends entirely on how cooperative the controls are.I have played in the morning, afternoon, evening, and at midnight. The problem persists at all times. One match might work fine, only f
- !!!!!!!! Je jouerai plus jamais à ce jeux de toute ma vie entière c’est fini ne l’achetez pas c’est le pire jeux de l’histoire du football
- This is the worst Fifa I’ve ever played. I’ve been playing this game for 30 years, pretty much every year and I’m astounded at how little EA cares about this game or its players… Everything is sluggish, especially when attacking. The player/team AI teeters on being against you, if it’s not actively trying to hinder you. Same problems as last year in opposing defenders being able to catch your attackers even if they’re 10+ pts lower in pace. Yet somehow, your own defenders are stuck under water when the cpu has the ball or a break. Opposing AI in ‘offline’ modes verges on being omnipotent and every cpu controlled player has like 1MM anticipation. Like it’s just not fun… No gameplay mode goes beyond ‘eh, feels like fifa, but it’s mostly just frustrating and makes me want to play something else’. Terrible cash grab, I’m done with fifa now, dead serious.

Praise
- EA Sports FC 27 offers one of the series’ most complete experiences, with more content, improvements to Career Mode, new features in Ultimate Team, and the debut of The Grounds. Attacking gameplay feels more fluid and rewarding, but heavily manual defending and inconsistencies in the AI still affect the overall balance. It is a meaningful step forward for the franchise, even if some areas still require refinement over the course of the season.
- EA Sports FC 27 is a great annual update that tries some new things, but not all of them work. While The Grounds shows potential, I don’t see how a casual player can find the time to dive in since it requires a lot of grinding. Casual players will find plenty to enjoy, but a few modes still require a major time investment that’s hard to find. Thankfully, the gameplay feels great, so if you’re only looking to get a couple matches in a day, this year’s a great place to dive in.
Criticism
- EA Sports FC 27 shoots for the top corner, only to see its shot come flying back. The Grounds is a messy and uninteresting hodgepodge of modes alongside poor performances from its famous faces. The football feels like a considerable step back on last year's improvements too. However, the production qualities continue to be stellar, and the career mode has seen some noticeable improvements, not to mention its alongside a wealth of modes on offer. But when the football is only decent, how much of it will you really want to play?
- The ball is round, as the biggest football purists like to say before a match between the favorite and the underdog, and EA FC is still EA FC. Those who disliked it and refused to play it will continue to do so, while those who disliked it a little less may now dislike it considerably less. Either way, your wallet still takes a hit, although we can only hope the series continues in the direction it has taken with this installment.
Mixed
- FC 27 puts the player back in charge. With auto-tackles gone and AI defenders hanging back, tackling, passing and corners are down to you, and mistakes get punished fast. Career Mode finally has a transfer market worth playing with, Ultimate Team adds the FUT Album and offline Live Events, and The Grounds is fun with friends, even if the crowds thinned out after the first few days. Goalkeepers are still the weak link, and the menus and a handful of bugs need work, but it might well be one of the better EA Sports FC games so far.
