- Great cast of characters and fight mechanics make it very easy for newcomers to play. Online seems very stable aswell.
- Great Fighting game. I've been having a lot of fun with it. The gameplay is simple to understand but hard to master and has a lot of debt. The character design and the animations and art style are just perfect. The roster is actually solid, and it has a lot of fun modes and extras to collect which I love even though the Episodes are A little disappointed in my opinion. My main complaints are the online play and the actual core mechanic/ gimmick of the game. The online is not a mode I play a lot, but since I had to play 10 matches to get colors for the characters it felt like years for it to actually find a match. And then I do not understand the 4 fighters at the same time gimmick. I think they just try to outdo MvC but to be honest it feels unnecessary since every assist for each character is pretty much the same (projectile, launcher and ender). With using just one assist to do all that would've worked the same. But it's ok, I control the buttons to use, I guess. Outside of these small issues, once again I
- best marvel fighting game ever outstanding all characters are amazing espcially
Criticism
- No disk, no buy. Stop killing games. Boycott Sony. Save physical media. I want to buying a video games after 2028 on disk
- Cross-play stuttering: Micro-stutters happen during stage transitions when playing against PC users. Control button bloat: Too many baseline attack, assist, and skill buttons overload the controller layout. Simple input penalty: Players using simple controls suffer a built-in damage reduction. Hidden combo mechanics: Complex rules like wall breaks change character properties without explanation. Poor teaching tools: The game relies on external community resources to explain advanced setups. Weak single-player content: The cinematic story mode plays like a basic, one-time **** classic arcade: The lack of a traditional ladder mode reduces offline replay value.
- A huge disappointment. The game doesn't come close to the Marvel games by Capcom and is also below what Arc System usually offers. I really didn't like the combat system, which I find messy. The graphics are good but that's pretty much its only strong point. Forgettable music, poor story and uninspired bosses, very ugly.

- Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is another masterpiece from Arc System Works. The Japanese developers, who specialize in fighting games, have created a title brimming with love for the Marvel universe, featuring meticulous attention to detail in the design of each hero and an incredibly layered combat system that adapts to any type of player—from beginners to experts, as well as those who prefer to fight with a single character or manage an entire team.
- Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is a fantastic fighting game by one of the genres greatest developers, with that said, it's network state is far from great, and while Arc Sys worked hard on the PC port itself, the netcode still requires some fixing.
- Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is a solid and highly entertaining experience, featuring outstanding presentation, extensive fan service, and excellent localization. Its 4v4 system built around a single shared health bar adds strategic depth and a distinctive flavor to combat, although it also carries several familiar Arc System Works conventions, including autocombos, repetitive patterns, an uneven learning curve, and some balance issues. It does not reinvent the fighting game genre, but it fully succeeds at delivering an enjoyable experience, particularly for Marvel fans and fighting game enthusiasts.
