Nivalis Nights
Welcome to Nivalis! Making it in this cyberpunk city isn't easy. The gangs want to harvest your organs, the Corps will fine you for breathing, and the whole time, the ground under your feet is crumbling. This city could fall into the ocean tomorrow, so you better make your fortune today. You've got to start small: a food stall, a noodle stand, a stim store. Build your way up to a bar, a restaurant, or even a nightclub. Eventually, you'll own all the nightlife in Nivalis. In this unique slice-of-life sim with realistic weather simulation and night and day cycles, you can grow your business, meet strange and diverse characters, form friendships and experience the danger and wonder of this cyberpunk voxel city.

Praise
- I like much this game, many things to do, a good way to spend time. This is not the best of this type of game, but it gives me what I am looking for.
- This game has by far the most immersive urban environment ever designed for a video game. It's deep and personal gameplay aspects have left me actually feeling ties and connections to the low poly characters. And the core gameplay loops are addicting, fun, and leave me coming back ready for more after every session. I can not thank Ion lands enough for making this game a reality. It never will be a 10/10, but as an independent environment focused game, made out of nothing but passion, It strives, succeeds, even exceeds all expectations. And while there are issues with performance, writing, and convoluted mechanics, but the flaws of this game are absolutely outshined by it's beautiful world. And I truly believe it deserves nothing less than a 9/10.
Criticism
- Underbaked in everything. Lifeless sim with broken economic and management part. Even though 100+ quests mostly boring and have just right/wrong answers. It's a shame to release game in such state.

What critics said
Praise
- Ultimately, I recommend Nivalis Nights as a game that clearly shows immense care and attention in its creation. For its creativity and content depth at $24.99, it’s a treat, provided the performance issues are addressed.
- A just-enough shop sim that's elevated by a beautiful city design populated with over a hundred fascinating and tragic weirdos.
- Nivalis Nights offers up one of the most captivating and exciting worlds I’ve seen in a long time – and cooking up career criminality alongside entrepreneurship means you can get your hands dirty in more ways than one.
Criticism
- Nivalis Nights is a decent business management sim, but it fails to really build on its cyberpunk setting and gets a bit boring after a while.
- I had a great time with Nivalis Nights, but in its current state, it feels like it would have been better suited for Early Access than a 1.0 release, as there is still plenty of work to be done. The optimization leaves something to be desired, a management bug makes expanding your business nearly impossible, and the game can feel rather chaotic, yet there’s enough fun to be had that I could never call it a bad game. With two patches already released to address reported issues, I’d say give Nivalis Nights some time and you’ll find a damn good game underneath the rough edges.
